Na era digital, e se pesquisarmos rapidamente num motor de busca, encontramos como definição de Dooh: “Digital Out of Home”. Este é um conceito de marketing e publicidade.

Se o duo de guitarra/eletrónica e bateria nos passa esse conceito? Claro. A comunicação dinâmica e envolvente está sempre lá, a persuadir-nos por caminhos por eles definidos e a captar-nos a atenção.

Neste Chisel são cortados e esculpidos 4 temas: Red, White, Blue e Black.

Red dá-nos uma visão geral do que os Dooh pretendem neste disco: ambiente, groove, direção e dinâmica. Talvez porque a guerra está na ordem dos dias de hoje - e os nomes dos temas nos leve, numa ordem alterada, até à bandeira russa - consigamos alcançar a paz interior em Blue, mas por pouco tempo.
Depois Black inquieta-nos. Só assim poderia ser.

Este disco reflete os dias de hoje. Deixemos ao critério de cada um a sua interpretação.

Dooh.
In the digital age, and if we quickly search on the web, we find the definition of Dooh: “Digital Out of Home”. This is a marketing and advertising concept.

If the guitar/electronics and drums duo gives us this concept? Clearly. Dynamic and engaging communication is always there, persuading us along paths defined by them and capturing our attention.

In this Chisel, 4 tracks are carved: Red, White, Blue and Black.
Red gives us an overview of what Dooh is aiming for on this record: ambience, groove, direction and dynamics. Perhaps because war is the order of the day - and the names of the tracks take us, in an altered order, to the Russian flag - we manage to achieve inner peace in Blue, but only for a short time.
Then Black worries us. That's the only way it could be.

This record reflects our days. We leave it to you to interpret.


Chisel was recorded in a guitar and drum duo improvisation session in 2018. Drones and synth recordings were added in January 2022. Editing, mixing and mastering was done in January/March 2022 by Nuno Damião.
